CIS Auctions (CIS Auctions, LLC, "CIS Auctions," "we," "us")

This policy describes what information CIS Auctions collects when you call us, text us, or use our auction services, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to our phone line, our text messages, and our website at cisauctions.com.

Information we collect

When you call us. Our phone line is answered by an automated assistant and by our staff. Calls are recorded. We collect your phone number (caller ID), the recording and a transcript of the call, and the notes our staff or assistant make about what you asked and what we did.

When you text us or ask us to text you. When you agree during a call to receive a text, or you text our number, we collect your mobile number, the messages sent and received, and the date and time of each message.

When you register, bid, buy, or consign. We collect the information you provide on our auction platform: name, company, email address, phone number, mailing address, and payment details needed to complete a transaction. Payment card details are handled by our payment processor and are not stored in our call or text records.

Automatically. Our website collects standard technical information such as browser type, pages visited, and IP address.

How we use it

• To answer your questions about auctions, items, pickup, payment, and consignment.
• To send you the text messages you asked for, such as a pickup address, our phone number, and auction details.
• To return your calls and follow up on your requests.
• To complete and record auction transactions: registration, bidding, invoices, payment, pickup, and consignor settlements.
• To review the quality of our phone service, including how our automated assistant answered.
• To meet legal, accounting, and record-keeping obligations.

Text messages (SMS)

You receive texts from CIS Auctions only when you ask for them, for example by agreeing during a call to have pickup details texted to you. Messages are informational and relate to your call or your transaction. Message frequency varies with your activity. Message and data rates may apply.

Every text we send ends with "Reply STOP to end all future texts." Reply STOP at any time to end all future texts. Reply HELP for help, or call us at (810) 687-3812 or toll-free (888) 824-1241.

We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your mobile number and your consent to receive texts are used only to send you the messages you requested.

Call recording

Calls to and from CIS Auctions are recorded for quality, training, and record-keeping. Our greeting tells you the call is recorded and that you are speaking with an automated assistant. You can ask to speak with a person at any time. Recordings are kept for 90 days and transcripts for as long as your account records are kept.

Who we share information with

We share information only with:

• Service providers who help us operate: our telephone and messaging carrier, our payment processor, our auction platform provider, and our hosting providers. They receive only what they need to provide the service and may not use it for their own purposes.
• Sellers (consignors) of items you buy, to the extent needed to arrange pickup and complete the sale, such as your name and pickup time.
• Authorities, when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect our rights or safety.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their marketing.

Your choices

• Texts: reply STOP to any message to end all future texts.
• Calls: you may ask for a person at any time, and you may ask us not to record a call; we will then take a message instead.
• Your information: to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you, contact us at office@cisauctions.com or (810) 687-3812. We will respond within 30 days, subject to records we are required to keep.

Security and retention

Call recordings, transcripts, and messages are stored on systems we control, with access limited to staff who need it. We keep information for as long as needed for the purposes above and as required by law.

Children

Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

We may update this policy. The effective date above shows the latest version. Material changes will be posted on this page.
